Penryn College

Welcome to our Community

"It takes a village to raise a child" is a timeless proverb emphasising that a child's development requires the collective support, interaction, and influence of an entire community rather than just their immediate parents.  A school community encompasses the relationships, collaborations, and shared culture built between students, teachers, parents, and the wider local area.

Our People (ID 1294)

The life of a secondary school is a busy one with a huge array of activities and staff play a full part as tutor, taking teams or running clubs and trips. It means they know their students well. The quality of the teachers and the strong working relationship between staff and students is what makes Penryn College a great place to learn and grow.

Every member of the school support team is dedicated, committed and highly professional. From the admin staff to the site team, cleaners and librarians, each individual member of staff is part of the Penryn family and committed to delivering a warm, welcoming level of service to all our families.

Our Partners

Our youth partner clubs are:  Falmouth Hockey Club, Penryn Netball Club, Falmouth United Youth FC & Cornwall Dance School.

We also host Penryn Rugby Club, FXU Tremough Campus, Penryn Athletic FC, St Gluvias CC, Cornwall Cougars Basketball, Plymouth Argyle Elite Hub, Cornish Pirates & Pauline Quirke Academy.

EdVenture - Activities, Sports & Events

EdVenture is based at Penryn College and offers sports, events and activities for children aged 5-16. We operate each school holiday with the exception of the Christmas break. We also run the Saturday soccer school during term time.

We strive to deliver fun, engaging and educational sessions across sport, creative arts and outdoor adventure activities.

What will be your Edventure each summer?

Our Summer Holiday Programme goes live in June, with a wide range of activities for children and young people across Cornwall.

From action-packed Watersports, Football and Cycling sessions to Tennis, Basketball, Hockey, Drama, Athletics and our ever-popular SuperCamps, there is something for every young Edventurer aged 8-14.

SuperCamps offer three days of games, sports, arts and crafts, outdoor challenges and opportunities to make new friends, while our specialist activities provide the chance to develop skills and confidence in specific sports and interests. These run for the four middle weeks of the Summer holidays for children aged 5-12.

Bookings are now open and places are limited, so early booking is recommended.  Visit www.myedventure.co.uk for full details.

Childcare vouchers are accepted, and free Time2Move places are available for FSM eligible children which can be booked at www.playwaze.com
