Clubs, Fixtures & Activities
Penryn College has worked hard to provide a programme of activities that we feel provide students with a chance to enrich their experience at school, while also continuing to pursue work encountered within the school timetable.
Students can access the list by clicking the ‘Clubs & Activities’ icon on their iPad home screen. We remind pupils that this is a live document and some details may change throughout the term. Parents and Carers may check the same link for the latest updates.
As always, there is a huge range of opportunities for all students - nearly 70 clubs per week - including my new favourite club name of all time - The Chronicles of Yarnia (knitting club in the library!). Clubs are a great way for students to try something new, make friends and grow their skills.
NEW Ukulele Club, starting Friday afterschool (3:15-4pm) in the Music Department.
The front gates will remain open for anyone collecting students after the clubs finish.

Sports Fixtures Information
The PE & Lifeskills team use SOCS, to help keep parents and carers informed about sports fixtures.
What is SOCS?
SOCS provides easy access to information about teams, match details, and results for those of you whose child/children participate in sport at Penryn College. You will be able to find out in just a few clicks what’s on where and when, as well as synchronise your desktop and mobile calendars with relevant team fixture lists.
How we use SOCS
The PE & Lifeskills team uses SOCS to create team sheets. These are posted on the PE noticeboard at school for pupils to confirm availability and so they are aware of the key details: kit required, meeting times, mode of transport, estimated return time, venue, etc. We recommend pupils use their iPads to take a photo to share this information at home. However, parents and carers can use the Sports Calendar to see some of this information for themselves.
We also encourage our younger students to take responsibility for managing this and sharing information with their parents and carers.

Subscribing via Outlook
Follow the relevant instructions below, using the feed address http://penryncollege.greenhousecms.co.uk/ical.ics
- Outlook Office (desktop) (section: Add internet calendars)
- Outlook.com (section: Subscribe to a calendar)
- Outlook via a web browser (section: Subscribe to a calendar)
Subscribing via Google
- On your computer, open Google Calendar
- On the left, next to "Other calendars" click 'Add'
followed by 'From URL'.
- Click this button to copy the feed address to your clipboard and paste it into the 'URL of calendar' field
- Click 'Add calendar'. The calendar will appear on the left side under "Other calendars"
It might take up to 12 hours for changes to show in your Google Calendar.
Subscribing via iPhone
- Click this link and click 'Subscribe' in the popup message

EdVenture is a holiday activities programme for children aged 5-16, based at Penryn College. Enjoy fun, engaging educational sessions across three main areas - sport, creative arts, outdoor adventure activities.
